The Meteorological Department has made a significant prediction regarding rain in Karachi, stating that the rain-bearing system will persist until March 2.
According to details, a new spell of rain and snowfall has entered the country and will continue for seven days, affecting most cities.
The Met Office has indicated the possibility of light rain in Karachi today, adding that the city will experience cloudy weather.
Weather forecasters stated that northern and mountainous regions will witness rain and snowfall accompanied by thunderstorms, while hail is also expected in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad.
Rain and snowfall may lead to road closures and slippery conditions in Murree, Galyat, Naran, Kaghan, and other hilly areas.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, heavy rainfall and snowfall are expected from February 25 to March 2. According to the Met Office, some parts of Balochistan and Sindh may also experience rain until February 26.
In Lahore, the intensity of cold has increased after early morning rain, and light rain is expected in the city over the next 24 hours.
In Peshawar and its surrounding areas, light rain and cold winds are continuing, making the weather pleasant and chilly. The Met Office has predicted that the rain spell will likely continue until March 2.
In Balochistan, the western wind system has brought intermittent heavy rain to Quetta and Chaman.
