Sydney: Australian captain Pat Cummins has expressed concerns over the unfair advantage India may have in the Champions Trophy 2025, as all of their matches are scheduled to be played in Dubai.
Pat Cummins described India’s single-venue advantage as significant and criticized the International Cricket Council (ICC) for this decision. He said, “I think it’s great that the tournament can go ahead, but obviously, India has a huge advantage by playing all their matches at one venue.”
The Australian captain added that the Indian team already looks very strong.
It is worth noting that Pat Cummins is currently not in action due to injury and is not part of the Champions Trophy. Steve Smith is leading the Australian team in his absence.
In the Champions Trophy, the Indian team is playing all its matches in Dubai, while other teams have to travel to Dubai for their group matches. The Indian team will also play its first semi-final in Dubai.
