According to reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allocated $2.32 million (over PKR 637.9 million) as prize money for the winning team of the Indian Premier League (IPL), while the champion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will receive only $500,000 (approximately PKR 145 million).
When comparing the prize money for the champion teams of both leagues, the difference exceeds PKR 490 million.
Similarly, the IPL runner-up will be awarded $1.5 million (around PKR 412.4 million), whereas the PSL runner-up will receive only $200,000 (approximately PKR 56.1 million).
In the IPL, the teams finishing third and fourth will be awarded $810,800 (over PKR 222.9 million) and $752,894 (over PKR 207 million) respectively.
On the other hand, the PSL has not allocated any prize money for the teams finishing third and fourth.
