Google has laid off hundreds of employees overnight.
According to foreign media reports, Alphabet-owned Google has terminated hundreds of employees from its Platforms and Devices unit.
These employees were working on Android software, Pixel phones, and the Chrome browser.
Citing a Google spokesperson, The Information questioned whether most of the layoffs were aimed at operational efficiency.
