Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has said that India should not even think it can launch an attack, and Pakistan will remain silent.
In an interview with an American TV channel, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh stated that showing aggression without any evidence following the Pahalgam incident is condemnable. He questioned whether the world wants to set a precedent where open aggression is carried out against a sovereign nation without proof.
He said that such examples are dangerous in the context of regional and global peace. For the past three nights, India has been demonstrating provocation and aggression. Pakistan has exercised restraint and used its right to self-defense. Accusations without evidence are highly absurd.
He added that Pakistan has demanded a neutral and transparent investigation into the Pahalgam incident. We do not seek escalation; however, any provocation and aggression will be responded to firmly. Pakistan and India have fought three wars in the past, and Pakistan reserves the right to retaliate.
Rizwan Saeed Sheikh emphasized that India should not assume Pakistan will remain quiet. So far, all actions taken have been in self-defense, and further retaliation will follow. Our innocent citizens, women, and children have been targeted. What kind of terrorist center was operating in a cricket stadium?
The Pakistani Ambassador said that lectures from followers of Hindutva philosophy and its government implementation are ridiculous and unacceptable. India’s actions in the region reflect a hegemonic attitude.
