Mari Engineering Limited has discovered new gas reserves in the Sujawal district of Sindh.
According to Mari Energies, new gas reserves have been found in the Sujawal area of Sindh, specifically in the Soho-1 Sujawal block, with an estimated production of 30 MMCF per day.
Experts noted that, for the first time, gas has been discovered from the lower section of the sandy rock formations. This discovery has opened new possibilities for oil and gas exploration in the Sujawal region.
To fully utilize the potential of these reserves, further formations are being targeted.
Earlier in March, major oil and gas reserves were discovered in the Waziristan block. Mari Energies had reported a second successful discovery from the Spinwam-1-1 well in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
With the support of SIFC, a significant increase in oil and gas reserves has been recorded for the first time since 2020. SIFC’s facilitation in energy projects has promoted local investment and exploration.
