Director General ISPR, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, addressed a joint press conference alongside Air Force and Navy officials.
He stated that Pakistan’s armed forces have fulfilled their promise to the nation, saying, “Alhamdulillah, the armed forces of Pakistan upheld the commitment made to the people.” He accused India of shedding innocent Pakistani blood through its aggression.
In response to Indian aggression, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyān-e-Marsūs. The military spokesman said the promise made to the people was honored and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the country.
According to DG ISPR, during Operation Bunyān-e-Marsūs, Pakistan targeted 26 military sites being used against it, including Uri network station and Poonch radar installation. He thanked Allah for granting them success in the operation.
DG ISPR also expressed gratitude to the brave and resilient people of Pakistan. He highlighted that on May 6 and 7, Indian aggression claimed the lives of innocent civilians, including women and children, as heavy weapons targeted civilian areas in Azad Kashmir. “Our hearts and sympathies are with the families of the martyrs,” he added.
