Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has directed that 1,000 relatives of Palestinian martyrs, prisoners, and the wounded be sponsored for Hajj at his expense.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, this initiative falls under the “Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj, Umrah, and Visit,” which is administered by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance.
On this occasion, Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh expressed heartfelt gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He described the initiative as a clear reflection of Saudi Arabia’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people, the enduring bond of Islamic brotherhood, and the spirit of goodwill.
It is worth noting that the Saudi government organizes special Hajj programs each year for the families of martyrs and those affected by conflict in various countries. This year’s gesture toward the Palestinian people comes amid escalating violence in Gaza and the West Bank.
