The Ministry of Religious Affairs has officially commenced the mandatory registration process for Hajj 2026, which has started nationwide and will continue until July 9, 2025.
According to the ministry, there will be no fee for registration, and the entire process is completely free of charge. The spokesperson stated that advance registration is compulsory for all intending pilgrims, regardless of whether they choose the government Hajj scheme or a private scheme. Even overseas Pakistanis must register to confirm their participation.
The ministry further clarified that only those individuals who complete their registration on time will be considered eligible for Hajj 2026. Registration can be done at any of the 15 authorized banks across the country. Interested applicants can register now and later decide between the government and private scheme.
This year, the ministry emphasized that those who missed out under the private Hajj scheme previously must also re-register.
The registration process has been initiated on the instructions of the Saudi government to collect preliminary data. This data will be used to inform Saudi authorities about the required Hajj quota and to draft the final Hajj policy.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs also announced that details regarding the full cost, facilities, and terms for Hajj 2026 will be issued later as part of a separate Hajj policy.
The public has been advised to complete their registration promptly if they wish to perform Hajj next year to avoid any inconvenience.
