Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to stay in complete contact with the Pakistani mission in Washington, D.C., as well as the US government, for the well-being of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and her early release.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui, the sister of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. She expressed gratitude on behalf of the government for the steps taken for the welfare of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and requested the government to increase its efforts for her early release.
The Prime Minister assured Dr. Fauzia Siddiqui of the government’s complete cooperation and directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to remain in complete contact with the Pakistani mission in Washington, D.C. as well as the US government for the well-being of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and her early release.
