Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu has stated that the Pakistan Air Force decisively defeated the enemy during Operation Banyan Marsous. He said that on May 10, the enemy’s defence system was successfully targeted, and the world had never witnessed such a bold and strategic use of air power before the Battle of Haq. While addressing the passing-out parade at PAF Academy Risalpur, he said that the victory in the Battle of Haq is a clear reflection of the Pakistan Air Force’s exceptional performance and professional capability.
The Air Chief said that when Pakistan’s sovereignty was challenged during the night of May 6 and 7, the Pakistan Air Force responded forcefully, shooting down the enemy’s most advanced fighter jets, including the Rafale. He added that on May 10, the enemy’s defence system was once again successfully hit, while Pakistan also demonstrated its superiority in cyber warfare during Operation Banyan Marsous.
He said that the capability of Rafale jets proved to be ineffective against the Pakistan Air Force, and every movement of the enemy was monitored within moments. He added that Pakistan could have inflicted far greater damage, but being a professional force, its response remains calculated and effective, with the sole objective of securing peace with dignity. The Air Chief reiterated that Pakistan’s territorial integrity will never be compromised.
He further said that the Pakistan Air Force’s success, dominance, and command over modern warfare requirements during the Battle of Haq are being acknowledged globally, and studies are being conducted on these operations. According to him, the Pakistan Air Force today is fully equipped with professional excellence, with every officer and airman ready at all times for the defence of the nation. He said Pakistan is a peace-loving country and is playing its role for regional stability, but anyone challenging this desire for peace will face severe consequences.
