Islamabad: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has stated that no leniency will be shown to Khawarij elements and their facilitators, emphasizing that the state is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against such groups.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, during which the overall law and order situation in the province was discussed in detail.
During the meeting, the governor briefed the interior minister on the security challenges faced by the province, while discussions were also held on security measures in border areas and ongoing operations against Khawarij elements.
Mohsin Naqvi assured full cooperation for maintaining peace and order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, stating that ensuring stability and security in the province remains a top priority of the federal government.
He said the federal government is fully prepared to provide support at all levels and added that the sacrifices made by the people and security forces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the fight against terrorism are deeply valued.
The interior minister further said that coordinated efforts are underway to eliminate Fitna-al-Khawarij and their facilitators and reiterated that no concessions will be made to such elements under any circumstances.
Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said that federal cooperation is essential for establishing lasting peace in the province, adding that joint and well-coordinated measures are required to completely eradicate terrorism.
