The walima ceremony of Junaid Safdar, grandson of Pakistan Muslim League (N) President Nawaz Sharif and son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, was held at Jati Umra and was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, and several prominent political and social figures.
The walima of Junaid Safdar and Shanza Ali Roheel was organized at Jati Umra Farms, where around 800 guests were invited. Field Marshal Asim Munir attended the ceremony as a special guest, and Nawaz Sharif warmly welcomed him upon his arrival.
The event was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, former Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, senior politician Sheikh Roheel Asghar, Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Federal Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, PML-N Lahore President Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar, provincial ministers, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, and a large number of party leaders.
Guests were served a variety of traditional dishes, including soup, chicken tempura, desi chicken, Amritsari mutton pulao, fish, and carrot halwa prepared in desi ghee, adding a traditional and lavish touch to the ceremony.
