Rainfall in Islamabad and several parts of Punjab has made the weather pleasant and significantly reduced the intensity of heat, bringing relief to residents across the region.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain was recorded in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and several other areas of Punjab, resulting in a noticeable drop in temperature and improved weather conditions.
The Meteorological Department further stated that rain is expected today in Islamabad, the Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, while some areas may also experience rainfall accompanied by thunder.
It is worth noting that heavy rainfall and landslides yesterday caused the Karakoram Highway in Upper Kohistan to be closed at several locations, disrupting traffic and travel.
In a separate tragic incident in Shangla, lightning struck a house, resulting in the deaths of three members of the same family.
