Iranian leader Ebrahim Azizi has announced that a legal bill regarding the Strait of Hormuz has been prepared and will soon be presented in the Iranian parliament for approval.
According to foreign media reports, Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security Commission of the Iranian Parliament, stated that the bill will be immediately tabled in an open parliamentary session once legislative activities resume.
He added that after approval by parliament, the bill will be sent to Iran’s Guardian Council, and once approved there, it will formally become law.
Azizi did not disclose further details regarding the proposed legislation, however, analysts are viewing the development as significant in the context of the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing regional tensions.
