Karachi’s newly elected Mayor Murtaza Wahab and Deputy Mayor Salman Murad will take oath today. The swearing-in ceremony of Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah Polo Ground in Karachi.
Sindh Election Commissioner, Ajaz Chohan, will administer the oaths to Murad Wahab and Salman Murad.
Today, the oath-taking ceremony of the heads of councils will also take place across Sindh. Various personalities, including the defeated candidate in the Mayor’s race against Murtaza Wahab, Hafiz Na’im, have been invited to participate in the event.
After the swearing-in ceremonies, the process of local government elections will be completed throughout Sindh.
It should be noted that Murtaza Wahab got 173 votes and Hafiz Naeem got 160 votes in the voting for Karachi Mayor.
