Tragic Revelations Made by Surviving Passengers in the Heartbreaking Shipwreck. According to British media, Pakistani passengers were forced to go in the lower part of the boat while those of other nationalities were allowed to go in the upper part of the boat.
According to British media reports, the survivors of the shipwreck who managed to escape have disclosed significant findings regarding the higher number of casualties among Pakistanis.
The surviving passengers revealed during their conversation with the coast guards that Pakistani passengers were forced to go to the lower part of the ship, while passengers of other nationalities were allowed on the upper part of the vessel.
Passengers informed the coast guards that better facilities are available for the passengers in the upper section of the ship.
If Pakistani passengers wanted to come up from the lower part of the ship, they were treated rudely. Women and children were apparently kept in confined spaces due to the presence of men.
The surviving passengers stated in their testimony that even before the sinking, the ship had already witnessed six deaths due to the unavailability of water. The engine of the ship had also failed three days before it sank.
According to Pakistani media, nearly 300 Pakistanis are among those who drowned, while British media claims that there were around 400 Pakistanis on board the ship, out of which only 12 are alive.
