The Meteorological Department has stated that there is a possibility of a rise in temperatures in most parts of the country in the coming week.
According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi is currently experiencing high atmospheric pressure, and from 20th to 24th June, most areas of the country will be under the influence of heat.
There is a possibility of above-normal temperatures in Upper and Central Punjab, Islamabad, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the Meteorological Department, Gilgit-Baltistan’s temperature may remain 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal during the next week.
Sindh, Southern Punjab, and Balochistan will experience above-normal temperatures.
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by rainfall are expected in the country’s plains and mountainous regions. Farmers are advised to provide water to their crops according to the seasonal conditions.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a communication to relevant departments regarding the increase in intensity of heat. Due to the heat, there may be an increase in heatstroke cases and water pressure in water reservoirs. The authority has urged the public to take precautionary measures while going out in the sunlight.
