Federal Minister for Energy, Khurram Dastagir, has said that Israel should be held accountable for its oppression and barbarism in Palestine before giving Pakistan lectures on human rights.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Khurram Dastagir stated that Israel should not lecture Pakistan on human rights while bullets and bombs are being fired at innocent Palestinians. Israel must first answer for its oppression and barbarism in Palestine. The crucial question arises as to why Israel has never issued such a statement before and why now?
Khurram Dastagir mentioned that Pakistan has not recognized Israel so far, and this fact is clearly stated on Pakistani passports. We have not acknowledged Israel to show solidarity with our Palestinian brothers and sisters.
He emphasized that we have facts, and it is the responsibility of the media to present these facts to the public. In the National Assembly, which was elected in 2018, a voice was raised to restore diplomatic relations with Israel. It was the voice of the party that attacked the State of Pakistan on May 9.
The Federal Minister for Energy said that these are the same people who disrespect the martyrs, engage in trade with Kashmir, and propagate against the Pakistani armed forces. The question also arises as to why members of the US Congress are interfering in Pakistan’s affairs after the events of May 9.
He stated that we need to identify the saboteurs to safeguard national interests. We are providing answers to those who are raising questions, but I expect that when the election phase comes before the nation, they will reject those who interfere in Pakistan’s affairs on behalf of foreign countries.
