Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan submitted its application to the Speaker with the signatures of 20 members for the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly.
Since the absence of Opposition Leader Haleem Adil Sheikh in the Sindh Assembly after May 9, MQM-Pakistan has submitted a request to Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani to change the Opposition Leader.
On this occasion, MQM-Pakistan’s senior deputy convener Farooq Sattar, Senator Nasreen Jalil, assembly members, and the Assembly Secretary were also present in the Sindh Assembly Chamber.
Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani stated that they will review the rules of the assembly and make a decision, taking into account the viewpoint of the DG (Grievances and Appeals).
They said that the responsibility of protecting the Opposition Leader Haleem Adil lies with the Speaker in the Assembly.
Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani, said that nobody has submitted a request for the production order of Firdous Shamim Naqvi.
