The International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation has reached Pakistan late at night, whose talks with the federal government will begin today.
Sources say that the IMF team consists of 8 people who will stay in Pakistan for 15 days.
The delegation of the international organization will hold 10-day talks with the federal government for economic review.
On the other hand, technical-level talks on the economic review with the IMF will begin today.
Sources said that there will be policy level talks between the government and the IMF delegation in 5 days, in this regard, the finance ministry has compiled the performance report of all the ministries.
According to the sources, the implementation report of 11 ministries, authorities on the set targets has also been prepared, Ministry of Finance, FBR, Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Petroleum have implemented the targets.
Apart from this, Benazir Income Support Programme, Ministry of Planning and Pepra have also implemented the set targets.
Pakistan will receive an installment of $710 million upon completion of a successful economic review with the IMF.
