Washington: United States of America has emphasized on the upcoming general elections in Pakistan to be clear and transparent and freedom of expression.
In Washington, the Deputy Spokesman of the US State Department, Vedant Patel, discussed the general elections in Pakistan.
The spokesperson said that they want freedom of expression, assembly and respect for equality, the US is concerned about the violent incidents in Pakistan, the ban on media freedom.
He said that there is concern over the obstruction of expression, including the freedom of the Internet. Pakistani people deserve to exercise their constitutional and fundamental right through free elections.
Vedant Patel said that Pakistani people have to decide their political future without fear, violence or intimidation, Pakistanis have full right to choose their leaders without fear.
US State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel further said that Pakistanis have to decide their own political future.
