“Islamabad: Former Prime Minister and Muslim League-N’s Senior Vice President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has tendered his resignation from the party post. He has also decided to join the ” Reimagining Pakistan” platform to spread the message of prosperity and development for Pakistan.”
Shahid Khakan Abbasi commented on the decision to appoint Mariam Nawaz as the chief organizer, saying that three years ago it was made clear to Nawaz Sharif that if Mariam is appointed in the party, she won’t be able to stay in the party. Since Mariam returned from London, there has been no communication between them.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that I am happy that his surgery was successful. My prayers are with them. He said that he will not be the chief organizer of the party at any point. Will stay with the Non-League till the end, but if the party part ways with him, he will prefer to go home. When asked if he was going to be another Chaudhry Nisar, he smiled and said, I’m not a very active political worker.
