Bollywood’s renowned actor Salman Khan has received relief from the Mumbai High Court regarding the death of a suspect involved in a shooting case.
According to Indian media reports, the Mumbai High Court has ordered the removal of Salman Khan’s name from the CBI investigation request into the alleged death of suspect Anuj Thapan in police custody.
It is noteworthy that Anuj Thapan was arrested by the police on charges of supplying weapons to those who fired outside Salman Khan’s house and committed suicide in police custody on May 1.
Subsequently, Anuj Thapan’s family alleged that he was murdered in jail.
In this regard, the suspect’s mother, Rita Devi, filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court on May 3, which included Salman Khan’s name.
