The hearing of the £190 million case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi has been adjourned until July 30 without any proceedings.
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Ali Warraich conducted the hearing of the £190 million reference against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi at Adiala Jail. During the hearing, the defense lawyers did not appear in court. At 10 a.m., both the accused were also not present in court. At the beginning of the hearing, the defense lawyers were not present, due to which the hearing was postponed for an hour.
Assistant lawyer Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry stated at the 11 a.m. hearing that senior lawyers were on their way and would arrive shortly. The court gave the defense lawyers a final warning for cross-examination and adjourned the reference hearing until July 30 without any proceedings.
It is worth noting that the statements of a total of 34 witnesses have been recorded in the reference, and the cross-examination of 33 witnesses has been completed.
