Six soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel, were martyred in a clash between the Pakistan Army and Khawarij in the Spanwam area of North Waziristan.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), there was an exchange of fire between the security forces and Khawarij in the Spanwam area of North Waziristan, as a result of which 6 Khawarij were killed.
According to the ISPR, 6 young men including Lt. Col. Muhammad Ali Shaukat were martyred in the fierce exchange of fire with the Khawarij. Actions were taken against the Khawarij on the night of October 4 and 5 and Lt. Col. Muhammad Ali Shaukat Khawarij was killed. He was leading the counter-operation.
The spokesperson of the Pakistan Army has said that the other 5 soldiers who were martyred include Lance Naik Muhammadullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, Lance Naik Shahidullah, Lance Naik Yusuf Ali, and Sepoy Jameel Ahmed.
According to ISPR, the 43-year-old martyred lieutenant colonel belonged to Faisalabad, while the other five jawans belonged to Khyber, Lucky Marwat, Tank, Orakzai, and Swat.
A spokesman of the Pakistan Army says that the security forces are determined to end the scourge of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
