The Iranian-backed Lebanese organization Hezbollah launched a drone attack on a military base in the Benjamina area near Haifa, Israel’s third-largest city, killing 4 Israelis and injuring 60.
According to the foreign news agency AFP, in the statement released by the Israeli forces, while confirming the deaths, it was said that Hezbollah carried out a drone attack on the Benjamina military base in northern Israel, in which 4 soldiers were killed.
This is considered the biggest attack by Hezbollah in the Benjamina area near Haifa, Israel’s third largest city, after Israel stepped up its military offensive in Lebanon on September 23.
The emergency service has reported that 60 people have been injured in this attack by the Iran-backed organization Hezbollah, most of whom are in critical condition.
Hezbollah said in a statement that the attack in northern Israel was a response to Israel’s attack in Beirut a few days ago, and the Iran-backed organization warned that if Israel did not stop its aggression it would make even more dangerous attacks.
Hezbollah said that what Israel saw today in Haifa was nothing, Israel was prepared for more serious and dangerous attacks.
According to Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, Israel launched an airstrike in central Beirut on Thursday, killing 22 people, while more than 2,000 Lebanese have been killed in Israeli attacks so far.
