Islamabad: Another case of polio has come to light in Pakistan. This is the third polio case reported by Quetta this year.
According to the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC), 17 polio cases have been reported from Balochistan, 10 from Sindh, and 4 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year. At the same time, one case of polio was reported from Punjab and Islamabad.
After the third polio case was reported from Quetta, the number of affected children in Quetta has increased to 3 this year. The number of polio cases reported this year across the country has increased to 33.
According to NEOC, because of the current situation of poliovirus and cases, a nationwide anti-polio campaign will be conducted on October 28 across the country.
