President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, and his delegation arrived at the Prime Minister’s House, where Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif warmly welcomed the guests. Children presented the visiting president with bouquets, and then a Guard of Honor was presented to President Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The Prime Minister introduced the guest president to each cabinet member individually.
President Aleksandr Lukashenko planted a commemorative tree in the Prime Minister House’s garden. As of writing, the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is ongoing, followed by meetings at the delegation level.
According to the Prime Minister’s House spokesperson, several memorandums of understanding and agreements for cooperation will be exchanged between Pakistan and Belarus, and both leaders will also issue a joint statement.
It is worth noting that Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is visiting Pakistan from November 25 to 27, 2024, at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. Upon his arrival in Pakistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the Belarusian President at PAF Nur Khan Airbase.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, Minister of Interior Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ataullah Tarar, and senior government officials were also present.
A day before the Belarusian President’s arrival, a 68-member high-level delegation led by the Belarusian foreign minister arrived in Pakistan on November 24. The delegation includes important ministers from the Belarusian Cabinet, prominent business figures, and investors.
The president’s visit to Pakistan reflects the strong and growing partnership between the two countries.
