The State Bank of Pakistan, banks, and other financial institutions will remain closed on December 25th on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
According to the announcement issued by the State Bank of Pakistan, on December 25th, Wednesday, government and private financial institutions will remain closed on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary and Christmas Day.

It is important to note that December 25th is observed as Quaid-e-Azam Day at the government level, and on the same day, the Christian community also celebrates Christmas. December 25th is a public holiday across the country.
Earlier, the Sindh government had announced a public holiday on December 25th on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The provincial government has also announced a holiday for Christian employees on December 26th in observance of Christmas, and the official notification for both holidays has been issued.
It is worth mentioning that the Sindh government has also announced a public holiday on December 27th on the occasion of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto. According to the notification issued by the provincial government, all government and semi-government offices across the province will remain closed on this day; however, despite the public holiday, banks will remain open.
