Washington: U.S. Congress Member Writes Letter to President Donald Trump Regarding Stopping Financial Aid to Afghan Taliban
According to foreign news agencies, U.S. Congress member Tim Burchett raised an alarm regarding the financial aid to the Afghan Taliban. He sent a letter to Donald Trump, urging him to stop the financial aid to the Taliban.
The letter expresses concerns about the transfer of funds to the Afghan central bank.
In his letter, Tim Burchett demands that Donald Trump halt U.S. foreign aid to the Taliban.
Burchett also expressed concerns about the use of taxpayer dollars, urging that tax money should not be used to fund terrorists. Under the Biden administration, U.S. foreign aid was indirectly supporting the Taliban’s financial resources.
The letter stated that providing funds to the Taliban is essentially supporting terrorism financially and called for the cessation of such funding. The U.S. should not support its enemies financially.
