Lahore: The nameplate of the Imran Khan Enclosure, dedicated to former national cricket team captain Imran Khan, has been reinstalled at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
For the past few days, rumors have been circulating on social media that Imran Khan’s nameplate was removed during the reconstruction of Gaddafi Stadium. However, these speculations were put to rest as the board of the Imran Khan Enclosure was reinstalled at the stadium.
It is noteworthy that all enclosures in Gaddafi Stadium are named after legendary cricketers.
Meanwhile, preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy are in full swing. A massive sculpture has been installed at the stadium’s entrance as part of the arrangements.
Standing 27 to 28 feet tall, the sculpture took 18 days to complete and has been named Runner Man. The structure, depicting a player in a running pose, is made of iron and weighs two tons.
