PML-N President Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif stated that Pakistan had been pushed towards decline, but the current stability is a welcome change.
According to details, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz met with members of the Punjab Assembly. During the meeting, Nawaz Sharif remarked that Pakistan had been pushed towards decline, but the current stabilization is a positive development.
The meeting was attended by members of the provincial assembly from districts including Gujranwala, Narowal, and Sialkot. Discussions focused on the overall situation in the country and public service projects in Punjab.
Also present at the meeting were Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Senator Pervez Rashid, Rana Sanaullah, Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Rashid Nasrullah.
During the discussions, Nawaz Sharif noted that the slowdown in inflation is a sign of economic improvement, while the rise in the stock exchange reflects the confidence of the business and investor community. He added that the acceleration in the pace of development indicates the arrival of positive changes.
Nawaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan had been pushed towards decline, but the current stabilization is welcome. He praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his hard work at the federal level and Maryam Nawaz for working in Punjab with the passion of a mother and daughter.
He further stated that Allah supports those who serve humanity with sincerity and hard work.
Members of the Punjab Assembly commended Maryam Nawaz for her developmental work and public projects, stating, “Mian Sahib, no amount of pride is enough for a brave and capable daughter like Maryam Nawaz.”
The assembly members expressed their views, saying, “Wherever Mian Nawaz Sharif’s name is associated, there is nothing but blessings. Alhamdulillah.” They added that Maryam Nawaz has introduced programs for the rehabilitation of all segments of society within a year, and people are praying for her success.
In response, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz thanked the assembly members, stating that being Nawaz Sharif’s daughter makes her feel a greater sense of responsibility. She highlighted that Shehbaz Sharif has set an example of public service, and their guidance and trust are the keys to their strength and success. She added that they are advancing the tradition of PML-N by maintaining the quality and pace of public service.
On the other hand, PML-N President Nawaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the passing of Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community. He described Prince Karim Aga Khan as an internationally respected figure and a prominent friend and well-wisher of Pakistan. His death is a personal loss for everyone.
Nawaz Sharif acknowledged Prince Karim Aga Khan’s invaluable contributions to the promotion of education, healthcare, and culture. He stated that his services for global peace, the Ismaili community, and social development in Pakistan will always be remembered.
He expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and the Ismaili community in their grief.
