Dubai: The semi-final stage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 begins today in Dubai, with the first semi-final featuring a clash between India and Australia.
The teams that have qualified for the semi-finals include India, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. India secured its place in the semi-finals after defeating New Zealand in their last group match.
The two semi-finals will be played at different venues, with one taking place in Dubai and the other at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. On March 5, South Africa and New Zealand will compete in the second semi-final at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
The final will be held on March 9 between the winners of the semi-finals. If India qualifies, the final will be played in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Australia suffered a major setback ahead of their crucial semi-final against India, as batter Matthew Short has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury.
