US House Speaker Mike Johnson has stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has essentially apologized.
According to foreign media reports, Mike Johnson claimed that Zelensky apologized to former President Donald Trump for what transpired in the Oval Office.
He further mentioned that Zelensky is now ready to return to negotiations.
It is noteworthy that earlier, Ukrainian President Zelensky had expressed his desire to mend relations with Donald Trump after a tense meeting.
In a statement, Zelensky said that he wants to resolve matters with Trump and that Ukraine is grateful for US military aid.
He also stated that under Trump’s strong leadership, he is willing to work towards peace.
