Former Pakistan cricket team opener Ahmed Shehzad has dismissed the possibility of making a comeback to the national team.
While speaking on a private TV show, he stated that given everything he has spoken about, it is now difficult for him to return to the national squad.
He remarked that speaking too much truth in this country comes with consequences, but if his voice helps young cricketers, that in itself is his victory.
Ahmed Shehzad further claimed that senior players cannot tolerate good looks and stylish dressing. He also pointed out that cricket has several underlying issues that need to be addressed.
The former cricketer added that if given a role in the selection committee in the future, he would certainly consider it. He emphasized that fixing the Pakistan Cricket Board only requires three to four competent individuals to set the system right.
