Dubai: In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final, India and New Zealand are facing off in Dubai, and betting worth up to ₹5,000 crore has already taken place on this high-stakes match.
According to an Indian news agency report, the international betting market has placed India as the favorite, while several major bookmakers involved in betting are reportedly linked to the underworld.
The report claims that the notorious “D-Company” is also involved in betting on major cricket matches taking place in Dubai.
Sources indicate that several well-known bookmakers are present in Dubai, where all of India’s key matches have been hosted.
During the Champions Trophy, Delhi Police’s Crime Branch arrested at least five major bookmakers. Investigations revealed Dubai’s involvement in betting, while police also seized several electronic devices and tools used in the betting process.
