The Pakistan cricket team has departed for New Zealand from Lahore Airport via Dubai, heading to Christchurch for the tour. The team is expected to arrive in Christchurch on the evening of February 13.
The first five-match T20 International series match between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played on March 16. The national squad includes Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz, who have been selected for the Pakistan team for the first time.
Vice-captain Shadab Khan stated that he has been given a new responsibility and will try to perform well.
He further mentioned that the squad includes many young players, bringing a different and positive energy. There are high expectations from those joining the team for the first time, and he hopes for a successful series.
The five-match T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand will commence on March 16.
