West Indies cricket legend and former fast bowler Andy Roberts has labeled the ICC as the “Indian Cricket Board.”
The 74-year-old Andy Roberts criticized the favoritism towards India, stating that India had an advantage in the last T20 World Cup and already knew where they would play their semi-final match.
He also questioned how India managed to avoid traveling during the Champions Trophy 2025, emphasizing that it is unusual for a team not to travel at all in a tournament.
Andy Roberts further stated that ICC now stands for the “Indian Cricket Board,” claiming that India dictates every decision. He sarcastically remarked that if India demanded the removal of no-balls and wide-balls, ICC would find a way to accommodate it.
He added that India cannot have everything their way and that ICC should learn to say no to them.
This is not the first time such allegations have surfaced. Similar concerns were raised during the 2024 T20 World Cup when India’s semi-final venue was pre-decided, with many believing these decisions were made to benefit the Indian team.
