The International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman, Jay Shah, who hails from India, has openly exhibited hostility towards Pakistan.
Pakistan successfully hosted the ICC Champions Trophy, ensuring its grand execution. However, ICC Chairman Jay Shah seemingly could not digest Pakistan’s success. Following the mega event, his official message regarding the tournament’s successful conclusion openly reflected his bias against Pakistan.
Jay Shah shared a message on the social media platform X, expressing gratitude for the successful conduct of the Champions Trophy. However, he deliberately omitted the name of the host country, Pakistan, from his statement.

ICC Chairman Jay Shah, in his message, stated that the Champions Trophy was a great success for the ICC. He expressed gratitude to all participating teams and the host nation but did not mention Pakistan by name.
In contrast, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice acknowledged Pakistan’s role in his message, thanking the country and calling the successful hosting of the Champions Trophy a historic achievement for Pakistan.
It is worth noting that due to India’s rigid stance, Team India played all its matches in Dubai under the hybrid model.
Several former and current cricketers have accused the ICC of unfairly favoring India, as the Indian team enjoyed the advantage of playing in the same venue and conditions, while the host nation, Pakistan, and other teams had to endure long travels.
