Former Bangladesh cricket team captain Tamim Iqbal has undergone angioplasty after suffering a heart attack during a match.
According to Bangladeshi media, Tamim Iqbal experienced a heart attack while fielding in a Dhaka Premier League match. He was rushed to a local hospital where an angioplasty was performed.
Post-surgery, Tamim was moved to the intensive care unit (ICU). Reports confirm that his condition is now improving. He has started showing signs of recovery, although the next 24 hours remain critical.
Tamim is no longer in the danger zone and was able to make slight movements with the support of a family member last night. Government officials are also monitoring his health closely.
Bangladeshi media reports that if no complications arise, Tamim is expected to continue improving within the next 24 hours. It was revealed that he briefly fell into a coma on the field, and support staff performed CPR before emergency medical assistance was provided.
It is worth noting that Tamim Iqbal suffered a heart attack during the Dhaka Premier League match and was immediately taken to the hospital where angioplasty was carried out.
