Following a 1-4 defeat in the five-match T20 International series against New Zealand, eight players from Pakistan’s T20 squad and support staff have joined the ODI squad.
According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), T20 captain Salman Ali Agha, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Khushdil Shah, Irfan Khan Niazi, Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Ali, and Usman Khan are now part of the ODI squad.
The remaining eight players from the T20 squad will return to Pakistan. They include Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, Umair Bin Yousuf, Hasan Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, and Abbas Afridi.
Abdul Samad and Jehandad Khan are also among the players returning home. They will depart from New Zealand tonight via Dubai en route to Pakistan.
Fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Usman Khan have been officially added to the ODI squad. The Pakistan vs. New Zealand ODI series is set to begin on March 29.
