The departure of the Jaffar Express from Quetta, which was targeted in a bomb attack in Balochistan yesterday, has been cancelled for today. According to railway officials, the Jaffar Express from Peshawar to Quetta departed on schedule, but the service will remain suspended on August 13 from Peshawar and on August 14 from Quetta.
The Pakistan Railways spokesperson added that the Bolan Mail from Karachi to Quetta will depart as scheduled on August 16. Following the bomb blast targeting the Jaffar Express in the Spinzand area of Balochistan yesterday, the train schedules have been adjusted due to security concerns.
It has been clarified that passengers of the affected Jaffar Express have been refunded their ticket fares. The blast occurred on the railway track in the town of Mastung, causing the train’s engine and five coaches to derail. Fortunately, only four passengers sustained minor injuries.
