The Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Omar Ayub Khan, Zartaj Gul, and other leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in connection with cases registered over the Sangjani rally. The court also ordered that the accused be arrested and presented before it.
Judge Tahir Abbas Supra of the Anti-Terrorism Court heard the case and issued arrest warrants for Omar Ayub, Zain Qureshi, Zartaj Gul, and Ali Bukhari.
The court directed authorities to arrest all the accused and produce them in court to proceed with the case. Relevant law enforcement agencies have been instructed to take immediate action.
During the hearing, a petition was filed by Sher Afzal Marwat seeking the transfer of the case. The court issued notices on the petition and summoned arguments from the lawyers.
The court decided to hear Sher Afzal Marwat’s petition on the next date of hearing and adjourned the case until October 23.
