Mill owners have increased the price of flour by Rs 10 per kg. Mill owners say that the price of wheat is constantly increasing, cheap flour cannot be made from expensive wheat, so the price of flour has been increased.
After the price hike of subsidized wheat flour, the price of mill flour has also increased. In Lahore, mill owners have raised the price of mill flour by Rs. 10 per kilogram, which means that mill flour will now be available at Rs. 160 per kilogram instead of Rs. 150.
On the other hand, mill owners say that the price of wheat in the grain markets has reached Rs. 5,200 per maund, and the price of wheat is continuously increasing. Cheap flour cannot be produced from expensive wheat, which is why the price of flour has been increased compulsorily.
