Islamabad: The President has summoned a joint session of Parliament to be held on Tuesday, marking an important development in the backdrop of the country’s current political and legislative climate.
According to sources, the session is expected to present key bills, including legislation related to the protection of journalists and media workers. Additionally, the bill for establishing the Minorities Rights Commission and the Pakistan Animal Council may also be introduced during the session.
This joint sitting is set to take place after a gap of nine months. Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman are also scheduled to address the session. Significant discussions and legislative measures are anticipated in view of the prevailing national situation.
