Airbus A320 aircraft, which have recently faced global concerns over a flight-control software issue, are also widely used by Pakistani airlines. However, local aviation officials have confirmed that these aircraft remain completely safe and operational in Pakistan.
A total of 47 Airbus A320s are currently in service across various Pakistani airlines. According to national carrier officials, their fleet does not have the ELAC-L104 flight control software patch installed—meaning the aircraft are not affected by the global software problem and continue to operate safely without interruption.
A senior operations official from a private airline stated that their fleet includes 12 Airbus A320 aircraft, all of which are running updated software and experiencing no operational challenges.
Sources further confirm that three private airlines in Pakistan collectively operate 18 A320 aircraft, and all have been deemed safe following global alerts issued regarding the software anomaly.
