The organizers of Sharjah Stadium have implemented a practical strategy for the Pakistan-Afghanistan matches, with the aim of keeping fans safe and secure.
The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Najam Sethi, suggested that fans of both nations be placed in different stands within the stadium.
It should be noted that during the Asia Cup matches played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium in September last year, after Naseem Shah hit two sixes, Afghan fans left the ground in defeat at the hands of Pakistan.
Afghan fans had thrown chairs onto the ground after the loss while Pakistani fans were also attacked, resulting in several injuries.
Now, Sharjah Stadium is hosting the three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The first match of the series is being played today in Sharjah and starts at 9 pm local time. Rashid Khan is leading the Afghanistan team, while Shadab Khan is the captain of the Pakistan team. Extra security measures have been taken to ensure that fans remain peaceful and safe.
