The Meteorological Department has said that cold northeasterly winds are continuing in Karachi, with the city’s minimum nighttime temperature expected to remain between 10 and 11 degrees Celsius from Thursday.
According to Met Office spokesperson Anjum Nazir, a further increase in cold conditions is expected on Saturday and Sunday, during which the nighttime temperature may fall into single digits, intensifying the cold weather.
He said that the minimum temperature in Karachi could drop to as low as 9 degrees Celsius, while no rainfall is expected in Karachi or other parts of Sindh over the next ten days.
The Meteorological Department added that a western weather system may affect the upper regions on January 18 or 19, while a forecast regarding its potential impact on Sindh, including rainfall, will be issued later.
