Pakistan Peoples Party leader and Senator Palwasha Khan has stated that President Asif Ali Zardari was completely unaware that an ordinance had been issued in his name, calling the matter extremely serious and alarming.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Palwasha Khan said that President Zardari was deliberately misled and subjected to a calculated maneuver, stressing that those responsible should come to their senses immediately.
She said that the so-called factory of fake ordinances must be shut down. According to her, people have heard about fake academic degrees before, but this is the first time a fake ordinance has surfaced. Palwasha Khan added that the government claimed it was a mistake, a justification she described as unacceptable.
She further stated that Pakistan cannot afford such grave errors, and anyone involved in such actions must be removed from within the system.
Commenting on the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Palwasha Khan said that the People’s Party welcomed him in Sindh, yet he appeared dissatisfied. She remarked that he wanted to hold a rally on the streets because he likely could not fill Jinnah Garden.
Palwasha Khan also reiterated that the Pakistan Peoples Party has a clear stance on privatization and noted reports suggesting that privatization efforts are now being directed toward the shipping sector, an issue on which the party will respond according to its policy.
